About Wild West Rustic Furniture
Wild West Rustic Furniture operates from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, where it was founded in 1983 by Clay Folda after he encountered a log bed that inspired him to start building rustic beds with a small crew. The company manufactures custom furniture on site in two workshops that together span 18,000 square feet, producing bedroom, dining, living room, and office pieces from materials such as reclaimed barnwood, circle-sawn knotty alder, red fir, knotty hickory, blue pine, and reclaimed redwood. In addition to its own production, Wild West supplements its showroom with products from roughly 30 partner makers, maintaining a large in-stock inventory that allows for quick turnaround on both standard and custom orders. Its clientele includes individual buyers seeking single heirloom pieces and those furnishing entire properties, with repeat business driven by personal design consultation offered at no charge. Wild West differentiates itself through free design guidance, a family-operated approach, and the combination of rapid custom fabrication with a vast showroom inventory, emphasizing quality and price as the foundation of its customer loyalty.
