About Yoder Furniture Co.
Yoder Furniture Co. traces its roots to March 1988, when Austin and Linda Miller opened Country Home Furnishings as a modest storefront in Pleasantview, Kansas. The family-owned business expanded in the fall of 2002 with a second location, Yoder Furniture Co., in the nearby community of Yoder, Kansas. Both stores operate under the same family ownership, serving customers from two showrooms in central Kansas. The company specializes in handcrafted solid-wood furniture sourced directly from Amish and Mennonite woodshops across the Midwest. By maintaining direct relationships with a curated network of builders, the stores offer a broad range of styles, wood species, and finish options. Beyond furniture, the showrooms carry a rotating selection of home decor, quilts, gifts, table linens, candles, and specialty food items such as jams, salsas, and coffee. The stores attract visitors from across the region who value the craftsmanship of Amish and Mennonite construction.
