About Appalachian Supply Inc.
Appalachian Supply Inc. traces its roots to 1982 in Littleton, New Hampshire, where it began as a family-owned plumbing, heating, and electrical supply warehouse with an attached hardware store. Within a year the company opened a second location in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, which eventually became its primary operation. The business remains family-owned and serves the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont and northern New Hampshire from its St. Johnsbury base. The company operates as a wholesale and retail distributor of plumbing, heating, and electrical supplies. Its St. Johnsbury facility functions as both a warehouse and a hardware store, staffed by nine employees who collectively hold over 100 years of industry experience. The company emphasizes its ability to source hard-to-find items, summarizing its approach with the slogan “If We Can’t Get It – You Don’t Need It.” Differentiators highlighted by the company include free quotes, heating-system design assistance, and a focus on radiant-heating solutions. These services are offered alongside standard wholesale and retail supply, aiming to provide technical support that goes beyond simple product fulfillment.
