About Arkansas Crafts
Arkansas Crafts operates from Lonoke, Arkansas, as the personal creative outlet of Michael Davis. The venture began as a website to showcase Davis’s handmade items and to share resources with other crafters and artists; the site explicitly notes that it is not a formal business or DBA. No founding year is disclosed. Davis produces a range of turned and carved wood goods, including custom pens (such as the Eros calligraphy pen and Vertex magnetic fountain pen), kitchen accessories (measuring spoon sets, ice scoops), sewing tools (seam rippers), bowls, vases, and decorative items like candlestick holders. The work relies on woodturning and wood-carving techniques, with each piece made individually in a home-shop setting. No facility size, headcount, or production volumes are published. The audience comprises individual collectors, fellow artisans, and hobbyists drawn to handmade woodcraft. The site invites commissions for custom pieces but does not list industrial or commercial clients. Davis emphasizes that every item is a labor of love, crafted with attention to detail and a dedication to quality. The platform also aims to connect makers by providing links to suppliers and educational articles on pen turning, vase turning, wood selection, and tool sharpening.
