About Auto Recyclers
Auto Recyclers operates from a 30-acre site on the I-80 service road in Rock Springs, Wyoming. The business was founded in 1980 and has been owned and operated by the Liggett family since its inception. What began as a local salvage yard has grown into a multi-acre operation with a national shipping footprint. The company maintains an inventory of over 100,000 parts across roughly 2,800 vehicles, supplying used and new auto components to customers across the country. In addition to parts sales, Auto Recyclers runs an in-house transmission and powertrain rebuild facility that specializes in rear-wheel-drive and truck applications, covering classic units such as the TH400, TH350, C4, C6, and modern automatics including the 4L60E, 4L80E, 68RFE, and 6L80E. The shop also rebuilds manual transmissions and transfer cases. Towing and recovery services are offered with a fleet that includes two wreckers, three flatbed tow trucks, tracked snow cats, and light UTV recovery vehicles. Customers range from independent repair shops and ranchers in the Rock Springs area to collectors and performance builders nationwide. The company’s network of more than 4,000 partner salvage yards allows it to source parts beyond its own stock, and it also procures new old-stock and aftermarket components through dealer relationships. The Liggett family emphasizes a reputation built on honest pricing, a proper-fit guarantee, and formal warranty terms on every part sold. Their approach is framed by 45 years of consistent service rather than marketing slogans, and they highlight the combined 50-plus years of hands-on automotive experience among their staff as a practical advantage when customers need help identifying the right component.
