Cool Solar - Austin Texas Solar Panel Power

About Cool Solar - Austin Texas Solar Panel Power

Cool Solar operates from Austin, Texas, where it was founded in 2015 by Colton Moncla, who also serves as CEO of the affiliated roofing business Cool Roofs. The company began as a traditional roofing contractor before Moncla, a renewable‑energy enthusiast, researched local solar incentives and expanded the business model to include solar energy solutions. Today the firm provides residential and commercial solar installations, solar battery backup systems, solar panel removal, and a range of home energy upgrades, while continuing to offer roofing services. The company claims to have served more than 150,000 homes and cites over eight years of experience in home improvements. Its customer base includes homeowners across the Austin area and commercial clients seeking turnkey solar solutions. The company emphasizes its local ownership and operates with a team that designs systems tailored to each project’s needs and budget. Cool Solar says its differentiation lies in combining roofing expertise with solar installation, offering competitive pricing on quality panels, and providing free consultations for prospective customers. A published manifesto frames the business as part of a community‑driven movement toward clean energy.
