About EasTex Solar
EasTex Solar was established in April 2018 in Palestine, Texas, as a family-owned electrical contracting business focused on solar energy. The firm operates under Texas Electrical Contractor license TECL #33539. The company designs and installs grid-tied and off-grid solar systems, handling all work in-house without subcontractors. Its services span solar panel installation, battery backup integration, whole-home generator setup, and EV charger installation. Equipment used includes Sol-Ark inverter-battery systems, REC Alpha photovoltaic panels, and Sunny Boy inverters. The team cites over 50,000 hours of combined installation and service experience across East Texas and the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. EasTex Solar serves residential homeowners seeking energy independence, particularly in rural areas where grid reliability is a concern. Customers include those pursuing whole-home backup, off-grid capability, and net-zero billing through utility buyback programs. Reviews highlight projects ranging from standard rooftop arrays to custom solar porches and large-scale installations with 80-panel systems. Morton and his staff provide permitting support, utility coordination, and post-installation training, aiming for the lowest cost of ownership through component reliability.
