About Custom Wood Beams
Custom Wood Beams operates from American Fork, Utah. The company was founded by Rand Wilson, whose woodworking career began as a finish carpenter before he turned his focus to the artistic potential of wood. Over more than two decades, Wilson developed the techniques that now define the company's approach to custom wood beams. The company manufactures real wood box beams, offering two distinct texture options—Weather-Aged and Hand-Hewn—along with a range of custom colors and made-to-order dimensions. Custom Wood Beams serves religious institutions and high-end residential projects. The firm's portfolio includes installations in LDS Temples and luxury private homes, indicating a focus on architectural millwork for prominent, design-driven spaces. Wilson's original motivation was to make the natural beauty of wood accessible in everyday spaces. The company emphasizes craftsmanship and artistry, positioning its products as custom-tailored elements that bring warmth and character to interiors.
