About Executive Wood Products Inc
Executive Wood Products Inc was founded in 1982 by engineer and inventor Paul D. Alexander in a family basement in Sullivan, Missouri. The company remains family-owned and operates from a state-of-the-art facility in the same town, where it began with handcrafted wooden candy dispensers before Alexander invented the folding tabletop lectern in 1989. Today the manufacturer produces solid wood lecterns, podiums, custom seals and plaques, anti-ballistic furnishings, tables, and a growing line of home and office accessories. Production combines traditional joinery with integrated audiovisual solutions, height-adjustable mechanisms, and a magnetic plaque system for branding. Finishing uses HVLP spray technology and low-VOC coatings on FSC-certified lumber. The company holds a GSA contract (since 1995) and is the supplier of lecterns to the U.S. federal government, shipping to all 50 states and 47 countries. Customers include schools, universities, hotels, government agencies, courthouses, houses of worship, and public institutions at every level. The firm also serves commercial offices and consumer markets through its 2020-launched retail line of cutting boards, charcuterie boards, picture frames, and wireless charging stations. Executive Wood Products emphasizes a lifetime guarantee on its solid hardwood lecterns, quick-ship options (24 hours for finished stock, three days for stain-to-order), and environmental stewardship through waste reduction and an apprenticeship program that trains young adults in the rural community.
