About Exotic Woodworking
Exotic Woodworking operates from Hollywood, Florida, where it was founded by Pierre Dionne nearly four decades ago. Dionne, who graduated at the top of his class from the Quebec City Woodworking Trade School & Drafting Academy, further refined his craft through annual studies in Italian furniture making, finishing, and chemistry over a ten-year period. The company produces high-end custom woodwork for both residential and commercial projects. Its portfolio spans kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, closets, offices, living areas, wine cellars, bars, and garage cabinetry. A state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, integrated with advanced software technology, supports a team of craftsmen who have been with the firm for more than 30 years, blending traditional cabinetmaking techniques with modern production methods. Projects range from private home installations to commercial build-outs, with each piece tailored to the specific design requirements of the space. The firm emphasizes the intersection of old-world craftsmanship and contemporary manufacturing technology, a philosophy rooted in Dionne’s European training and the long tenure of its artisan team. This approach is presented as the foundation of the quality and beauty the company aims to deliver.
