About Fetzer Woodworking
Fetzer Architectural Woodwork operates from West Valley City, Utah, tracing its roots to 1909 when Kasper Fetzer opened a modest cabinet shop in downtown Salt Lake City. It describes itself as one of the largest millworkers in the nation, though specific facility size, headcount, and annual volume are not disclosed. Its project portfolio spans retail flagships (Brooks Brothers, Banana Republic, DKNY, Ugg), luxury hospitality (Four Seasons, Marriott, Hyatt Regency, Mandarin Oriental), corporate headquarters (Haynes Boone, Huntsman Capital, Devon Energy), institutional landmarks (LDS Conference Center, Public Library, Federal Courthouse, City Hall), performing arts venues (Alice Tully Hall, Symphony Hall), and marine interiors (Seahawk Yacht). Fetzer emphasizes collaborative innovation with architects, designers, and contractors. A noted breakthrough came on the Alice Tully Hall project, where craftsmen applied wood veneer to a translucent composite resin to create backlit wood panels—a technique the company says had never been done before.
