About Fine Wood Works
Fine Wood Works is a family-owned cabinet shop based in Piedmont, Missouri. Founded in 2006 by Lucas and Sara Edgy, the business traces its roots to Lucas’s college years when he built bookcases and small cabinets for friends. By 2003 he was working full-time as a cabinetmaker in Piedmont, and two years later the couple opened Fine Wood Works. In 2006 they purchased 30 acres with a barn, which they remodeled into the current woodworking facility. The company designs, builds, and installs custom cabinetry, furniture, architectural millwork, and front entrance systems for residential and commercial projects. Operating from an 11,000-square-foot shop expanded over the years — including a dedicated spray finishing room, sanding area, and countertop fabrication space — the team uses KCD software to create 3D cabinet presentations, a practice Lucas adopted early in the region. All work is completed in-house from design through installation. Fine Wood Works serves homeowners undertaking kitchen, bathroom, and living-room remodels, as well as builders on new-home and commercial projects. Client testimonials reference projects in Town & Country, Missouri, and highlight collaboration with Lucas on custom islands, laundry rooms, and dining tables. The shop emphasizes its guarantee to stand by craftsmanship and protect its reputation, promising to go the extra mile if quality falls short. Lucas notes that the business relies on customer referrals, and many clients return for additional projects.
