About Frugll
Frugll was founded in 2017 in Salt Lake City, Utah, by co-founders Jordan Folsom and Josh Giddings. The company operates as a direct-to-consumer solar installer, bypassing traditional sales commissions through a custom software platform that automates quoting and design. The firm provides full-service solar installation and ongoing maintenance for residential customers, managing more than 190,000 systems across its installer network and serving over 1,500 homeowners directly. Its process emphasizes system design, permitting, installation, and post-installation support, all coordinated through proprietary tools that reduce overhead. Frugll serves homeowners seeking residential solar power, with a focus on maximizing return on investment rather than monthly payment structures. The company’s customer base is built largely on referrals, and its marketing highlights average savings of 52 percent compared with other installers and typical payback periods of two to five years. The company differentiates itself by eliminating sales commissions, using automation to pass cost savings directly to customers, and guaranteeing long-term system output. Its founders and a small executive team — including engineering lead Pascal Roget and operations head Bre Yamauchi — oversee a model that prioritizes education and transparent pricing.
