Utah Solar Detach & Reset

About Utah Solar Detach & Reset

Utah Solar Detach & Reset operates from Kearns, Utah, serving homeowners and contractors across the Wasatch Front. The locally owned company grew out of a roofing business, giving its founders firsthand experience with the intersection of roof work and solar arrays. The company specializes in solar panel removal and reinstallation — often called detach and reset — for roof replacements, system maintenance, or upgrades. Technicians document panel positions and wiring before any removal, then follow structured diagnostic sequences to isolate faults before replacing components. Additional services include solar panel cleaning with output verification, critter guard installation, EV charger installation, battery troubleshooting, and solar monitoring setup. Work is performed from a brick‑and‑mortar office in Kearns, with crews traveling to Sandy, Salt Lake City, West Jordan, Taylorsville, Murray, Draper, and surrounding communities. Primary customers fall into two groups: homeowners who discover their solar arrays must be temporarily removed for roof repairs, and roofing contractors who need a reliable solar detach partner to keep their projects on schedule. Both receive transparent pricing, coordination with project timelines, and a documented process that protects roof penetrations and electrical connections. The business was built to fill the gap between roofers who lack solar expertise and solar installers who don’t focus on detach‑and‑reset work. Its methodical, climate‑aware approach — accounting for heavy snow loads, freeze‑thaw cycles, and high‑altitude UV exposure — and its local, physical presence are cited as key differentiators.
