About Goose Woodworking, LLC
The shop produces custom, handmade furniture and home decor exclusively from premium hardwoods such as walnut, sapele, mahogany, cherry, maple, and white oak, milled in-house. Finishes range from Rubio Monocoat hard wax oil and Tung oil to custom blends, Arm-R-Seal, conversion varnish, milk paint, and wood stains from General Finishes. Each project follows a structured process: client inspiration leads to a CAD design drawing, a 50 % deposit secures a first-in-first-out build slot, and lead times typically run 8–10 weeks. Customers are primarily residential clients looking to replicate or adapt pieces seen in catalogs from Wayfair, West Elm, or Restoration Hardware, or on platforms like Pinterest, Instagram, and Etsy. Recent commissions include dining and coffee tables, chairs, benches, and specialty items such as a bourbon cabinet built from a reclaimed barrel with mahogany shelves and LED lighting. Wayne’s direct involvement ensures that no pine or construction‑grade lumber enters the shop, and the finish process includes up to three stain samples cut from the project’s own off‑cuts so clients can verify color in their own lighting. The company positions itself on quality over quantity, emphasizing materials and craftsmanship that exceed mass‑produced imports.
