About Hansen Furniture
Hansen Furniture was founded in 2017 by Leo Hansen in Sanatoga, Pennsylvania, after relocating from Connecticut. Hansen began his career in construction, building custom homes and specializing in architectural millwork and finish carpentry. That work sparked an interest in custom cabinetry and furniture, him to apprentice at a cabinet shop and study at the Connecticut Valley School of Woodworking before launching his own shop. The company produces handcrafted heirloom furniture using solid wood and veneer techniques. Operating as a one-person workshop, Hansen builds each piece individually, offering custom furniture, cabinetry, and millwork tailored to client specifications. Hansen serves homeowners, interior designers, architects, and business owners across Pennsylvania and Connecticut. Testimonials cite projects in Bryn Mawr, Greenwich, Gladwyn, King of Prussia, and Berwyn, covering residential dining tables, desks, cabinets, and coffee tables. The client base spans residential, design-trade, and light commercial sectors. Hansen says the business was driven by the reward of bringing a client's idea to life with warm, ethically sourced materials and non-toxic finishes that improve the home environment.
