About Hunt & Noyer Furniture
Hunt & Noyer Furniture was established in 2013 in the Village of Clarkston, Michigan. The small business takes its name from the surnames of founder Kyle’s parents, DesNoyer and Huntoon, honoring a lineage of Midwestern craftsmen. Kyle launched the company to continue a family tradition of woodworking, building pieces that reflect a respect for heritage and a commitment to enduring quality. The workshop produces a range of furniture including benches, dining tables, consoles, cabinets, and seating, with a focus on modern design executed through traditional handcrafting methods. They accept custom one-off commissions for private residences as well as larger-scale projects for public and corporate clients. Walnut is a signature material, selected and worked by hand for each piece. The company serves residential customers, commercial and institutional clients, and interior designers through a trade program. Past projects include custom dining tables for homeowners in Michigan and Illinois, a solid walnut crib for a nursery in Jackson, MI, and consoles used as home-office workstations. Interior designers receive a trade discount on the existing collection. Hunt & Noyer positions its work as heirloom-quality rather than trend-driven, emphasizing that “trends change, but quality is timeless.” The founder’s personal involvement in design and material selection, along with a philosophy rooted in American craftsmanship, is presented as the core differentiator.
