About Jerry's Electric
Jerry's Electric was founded in 1976 as a family-owned business serving the utility and industrial electrical sectors. The company operates from a facility just outside Colman, South Dakota, and ships its products and services throughout the United States and into Canada. The company remanufactures transformers, voltage regulators, and switchgear, and provides repair, testing, and diagnostic services for oil-filled electrical equipment. Its remanufacturing process uses new insulating oil, new copper windings, and Kraft diamond-back paper insulation. Transformer offerings range from single-phase pole-mount units (5–500 kVA) to three-phase substation and pad-mount units up to 10 MVA. The facility also performs PCB analysis of insulating oil using gas chromatography and carries out full transformer reclamation, including safe decommissioning, oil and component recycling, and detailed reporting. Jerry's Electric serves utility and industrial customers across North America. Its client base includes electric utilities, industrial plants, and other operators of oil-filled transformer equipment who require remanufactured units, repair services, or environmental compliance testing. The company emphasizes fast, affordable solutions without sacrificing quality, backing remanufactured transformers with a three-year warranty. Its differentiation rests on using new rather than filtered oil, new copper conductors, and a reclamation process designed to minimize environmental impact while maximizing material recovery.
