Manufacturing Industries, Inc. was founded and incorporated in 1976 by Ronald Quillen in Alderson, West Virginia. Quillen, who had worked in electronics design, test, and manufacturing since the late 1950s, returned to his hometown to establish the company. The company provides automated surface-mount assembly (SMT), through-hole PCB assembly, prototype and turn-key production builds, electrical and functional testing, wire-harness and cable assemblies, and conformal coating. A dedicated prototype and medium-volume SMT line runs at up to 13,000 placements per hour, with on-the-fly programming from a bare board and bill of materials. That data transfers directly to high-speed production equipment for larger runs, enabling a seamless transition from pre-production evaluation to volume manufacturing. Customers span medical, military, commercial, industrial, automotive, OEM, and consumer-product sectors. The shop handles high-mix, low-to-medium volume work as well as scheduled delivery programs for ongoing production needs. The operation emphasizes flexibility: pick-and-place programs can be generated quickly for small batches, then imported into faster lines without rework.
