About McKay's Furniture
McKay's Furniture operates from North Kingstown, Rhode Island, where it was founded in 1900 by Kenneth I. McKay. The family-owned business began with a focus on selling durable, long-lasting furniture and has remained under family stewardship for over a century. The company offers a broad selection of indoor and outdoor furniture, including dining sets, sectionals, recliners, bookcases, and outdoor collections in marine-grade aluminum, all-weather wicker, and teak. In addition to product sales, McKay's provides white-glove delivery that includes in-home assembly, placement, and cleanup, as well as design consulting services for residential and commercial clients. McKay's serves homeowners, interior designers, and small businesses. Testimonials on its site cite an interior designer who relies on the company's extensive selection for client projects, a homeowner who furnished a dream home, and a small business owner who outfitted a home office and lounge area. The company also partners with local organizations such as the Special Olympics, Rhode Island State Police Association, and various schools and charities in the North Kingstown area. McKay's emphasizes its 126-year heritage and the "final mile" of delivery as key differentiators. The company states that white-glove service sets it apart, and it highlights a legacy of craftsmanship passed through generations. Community involvement, including support for wildlife refuges, healthcare institutions, and cultural organizations, is presented as part of its mission.
