About Mississippi Farm Tables
Mississippi Farm Tables operates from Carthage, Mississippi. The company was founded by Mark and Helen, whose story began with Mark's upbringing in Ireland where the kitchen table served as the family nucleus. After community work in London and a rekindled romance in France, Mark discovered woodworking under a master artisan in rural France. The couple later relocated to Mississippi to establish the business. The workshop produces custom farmhouse dining tables, chairs, and a range of occasional tables including coffee, sofa, console, and end tables, as well as benches. Each piece is handcrafted to order, with customers selecting dimensions, shape, wood species, and finish. To date, the shop has completed nearly 500 tables. The founders state their mission is to revive the tradition of family meals and meaningful conversation around the table. A separate initiative, Coffee Tables for Cancer, directs 10 percent of proceeds from coffee table sales to cancer research funding.
