About MOBIS US Alabama, LLC
The facility was created as part of the Korean parent company's announced expansion to supply electric vehicle components to automakers outside the Hyundai group, beginning with a Tier 1 supply agreement for Mercedes‑Benz U.S. International (MBUSI). Using parts sourced from domestic and overseas suppliers, the operation runs on a just‑in‑time, just‑in‑sequence basis, feeding finished modules directly to the customer's production line. The primary customer is Mercedes‑Benz U.S. International, which receives modules for its SUV lines. The company states its mission is to set global standards for safety, quality, on‑time delivery, cost efficiency, and team member morale. Its formation reflects Hyundai Mobis' push into vehicle modularization and the supply of EV parts beyond its traditional affiliate network.
