About Mwanzi CO.
Mwanzi Co. operates a 3,000-square-foot fabrication studio in the South City neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri. The company was founded in 2005 and has completed more than 400 projects since then. The shop produces custom furniture, fixtures, and cabinetry on a make-to-order basis for both residential and commercial clients. In addition to fully bespoke pieces, Mwanzi offers a line of standard designs that can be customized in dimensions and wood species. The 3,000-square-foot studio houses a team of nine. Clients range from homeowners seeking one-of-a-kind furniture to commercial outfits needing custom fixtures and cabinetry. The owner emphasizes a willingness to build virtually any design a client can envision: "don't see something you like on this page, show me something you do like and i'll make it for you and customize it." This open-ended customization approach, combined with a make-to-order model for both standard and custom lines, forms the core of the company's value proposition.
