About National Power Equipment
National Power Equipment, Inc. (NPE) operates from Cleveland, Ohio, where it was founded in 1994. The company began with a simple realization: industrial customers do not merely need equipment, they need a reliable source for solutions to fix and maintain large switchgear and circuit breakers. The company supplies used and remanufactured air and vacuum circuit breakers, substation switchgear, protective relays, and related parts. Its warehouses hold thousands of circuit breakers and switchgear cabinets along with tens of thousands of components. NPE specializes in low‑voltage (600 V AC or less) through medium‑voltage (15 kV) equipment, carrying product lines from every major U.S. manufacturer dating back to 1940. Beyond distribution, it manufactures a growing aftermarket parts list (AFT) that upgrades commonly failing components with modern materials, and it offers reconditioning services, rental and exchange programs, quick‑ship inventory, and technical manuals. The firm also provides 24/7 emergency support and assistance with both scheduled and unscheduled outages. Customers span the full spectrum of the electrical industry, including industrial plants, utilities, and government agencies. NPE is an approved U.S. Government vendor (CAGE code 84AC4), indicating a track record with federal buyers. The company differentiates itself by focusing on tailored, cost‑effective solutions rather than simple product sales. Its aftermarket parts are engineered to eliminate original design weaknesses, and real‑time inventory visibility lets buyers confirm availability instantly.
