About New Day Woodwork
New Day Woodwork, Inc. was established in 1986 in Glendale, New York. Founded by Jay Levtow, who serves as president, the company began as a small antique restoration shop. Ross Levtow holds the role of vice president of sales and marketing. Today the firm operates a 20,000-square-foot facility with 50 employees, producing custom millwork, architectural millwork, and fine furniture. Its capabilities include custom furniture and millwork, in-house metal fabrication, upholstery with exotic skins such as parchment and shagreen, custom mirror and glass work, and specialized finishes like French polish, polyester automobile finish, lacquered linen, and gold leaf. The shop also provides design, shop drawings, project management, material sourcing, and installation services. The client base spans interior designers, architects, general contractors, and private clients including celebrities, primarily in the New York tristate area but also nationally and internationally. The company emphasizes a balance between bespoke craftsmanship typical of European ateliers and the production capacity of a large manufacturer, backed by two decades of experience and a broad service offering that covers design through installation.
