About Parts Unlimited Interiors, Inc.
Parts Unlimited Interiors operates from a 120,000-square-foot facility in La Grange, Kentucky, in the Oldham County Business Park. The company traces its origins to 1974, when Rollo Fox and his wife Colleen (née Morris) attended a Corvair collectors' convention in Chicago and sold new-old-stock parts from their car trunk. Colleen's father, H.V. Morris, had recommended the Corvair as economical transportation, and the couple's early success selling surplus parts led them to advertise in enthusiast magazines and eventually reproduce Corvair interior components. The company manufactures interior soft-trim and hard-goods for classic American vehicles, including seat upholstery, door panels, headliners, window felts, console carpet, and insulation products. Production spans GM (Chevrolet, Pontiac, Buick), Ford, and Mopar models. The La Grange plant houses over 100 employees, with more than 80 automotive interior artisans overseeing computer-controlled machinery. Approximately 97–98% of products are made in the United States, with the remainder sourced overseas. Parts Unlimited Interiors sells primarily through a network of over 100 aftermarket dealers across the U.S. and internationally, offering wholesale and dealer pricing. Its customer base includes restoration shops, classic-car enthusiasts, and dealers specializing in muscle-car and vintage-vehicle interiors. The business pivoted from reselling finite NOS parts to manufacturing reproductions when original supplies dwindled. After being acquired by Restoration Parts Unlimited in August 2013 and later by Classic Industries in October 2023, the company reports that raw-material lead times dropped from several months to two to three weeks, and dealer delivery lead times fell to under one month. The firm emphasizes its U.S.-based manufacturing, deep artisan expertise, and same-day or next-day shipping on stocked items as key differentiators.
