About PEECO
Philadelphia Electrical Equipment Company (PEECO) was established in 1981 by founder and chairman Robert Guarini, P.E., in Aston Township, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia. Originally a global provider of generators and power control systems, the company has since narrowed its focus to the design and manufacture of medium- and low-voltage switchgear and automated power control systems. Operating from a 64,000-square-foot facility on three acres, PEECO produces custom switchgear, power control systems, and SCADA solutions for new infrastructure, retrofits, and expansions. The shop also delivers a full suite of field services including maintenance programs, integration and retrofitting, plant commissioning, on-site startup, load bank testing, and consulting engineering for specification writing and utility proposals. PEECO serves healthcare, pharmaceutical, government, education, alternative fuel, transportation, utility, and hospitality sectors. Its installed base includes Verizon, AT&T, Chemours, Harvard University, Universal Studios, SEPTA, Merck, Sanofi, the U.S. Army and Navy, Goya Foods, Boeing, Longwood Gardens, Amtrak, and numerous Veterans Affairs medical centers. The company cites meticulous attention to detail and optimal lead times as its primary differentiators, emphasizing that its facility’s access to air, sea, road, and rail transport supports rapid delivery of large-scale projects.
