About Platinum Woodworking
Platinum Woodworking operates from Pascoag, Rhode Island, where it was founded in 2011 by Dean Rovedo Jr. The company began as a general custom carpentry business before Rovedo's passion for cabinetry and woodworking steered it toward a full-scale custom cabinet shop serving Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. The shop produces custom cabinetry, closets, built-in shelving, entertainment centers, and commercial millwork, using CNC woodworking for precision cutting, intricate detailing, and consistent component machining. A team of four — including a master craftsman, a custom builder, an operations manager, and a cabinetry manufacturer — handles design, fabrication, and installation for residential and commercial projects. Clients include homeowners, builders, designers, and developers across the three-state service area. Residential work spans kitchens, bathrooms, walk-in closets, pantries, bars, and home offices, while commercial projects encompass reception desks, retail fixtures, office cabinetry, and architectural details. The company emphasizes craftsmanship rooted in listening and planning, relationships built on trust and communication, and designs tailored to each client's daily routines. Rovedo states that a project is not complete until the homeowner is genuinely satisfied, a principle that guides the shop's approach from concept through installation.
