About Popknot Wood
Popknot Wood operates from Rogers, Arkansas. The company was founded by John, a U.S. Army veteran, after he began teaching woodworking to his grandchildren in his home shop. What started as a family project building birdhouses, signs, and boxes evolved into a formal business when the family developed a marketing plan and launched a website. The venture is veteran-owned and family-driven. The shop produces custom woodworking and restoration pieces using a mix of hand tools, power tools, CNC routing, and laser engraving. Its output includes furniture refurbishment, replacement parts for discontinued items, heirloom repairs, custom cutting boards (including state-shaped designs), wooden urns and memorial pieces, awards and presentation pieces, river tables, custom flags, and signs. All items are made in-house and shipped to all 50 states. Customers range from individuals seeking personalized gifts or restored heirlooms to churches, ministries, and organizations needing faith-based creations, awards, or signage. John credits his Army service for instilling discipline and integrity that guide every build. Faith informs the work as a form of stewardship, and the shop prioritizes local wood whenever possible. Popknot Wood was recognized as the Best Woodworker in Rogers, AR for 2026, reflecting its commitment to purpose-driven craftsmanship.
