Precision Metal Fabrication (PMF) began in 1984 in Dayton, Ohio, as a veteran-owned business with a small team and 4,000 square feet of manufacturing space. Founded on core values of quality, service, and on-time delivery, the company expanded in 1985 with the creation of Weldments, Inc., a heavy fabrication division to handle larger weldment requests. Today PMF operates from a 44,000-plus-square-foot production and warehousing facility with over 70 employees, including many second-generation craftsmen. The shop runs eight press brakes (60 to 175 tons), a 6,000-watt MAZAK 3015 fiber laser cutting sheets up to 5 by 10 feet, two Amada turret punches (44- and 54-station), a plate roll, tube and pipe bender, and dedicated paint booths. Services span sheet metal fabrication, CNC laser cutting, CNC punching, forming, welding (MIG, TIG, arc), sanding and grinding, painting, assembly, design support, prototyping, and custom crating. The company serves a range of industries: defense (a commissioned sign for the Dayton NATO conference), industrial manufacturing (stainless wash tanks for corrugated pipe production), food and beverage (sanitary finishing), architectural and public venues (museums, sports stadiums, airports), power generation (outdoor stainless enclosures), and structural construction (large-scale tubing frames).
