About Renewable Energy Systems, LLC
Renewable Energy Systems, LLC was founded in 2008 in Avilla, Indiana. The independently owned and operated company began as a pioneer in solar energy for Indiana and surrounding areas, focusing on giving customers control over their electricity production and usage. The firm provides end-to-end solar photovoltaic services, including engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) for commercial, industrial, agricultural, and residential projects. Its capabilities cover custom system design, installation, and operations & maintenance (O&M) repair, with experience delivering utility-scale systems exceeding 1 megawatt. All installations are performed by NABCEP-certified technicians, and the company operates a Department of Labor-registered apprenticeship program to train solar professionals. Renewable Energy Systems serves businesses, farms, schools, and homeowners across northeastern Indiana, southern Michigan, and northwestern Ohio. Commercial clients receive systems designed to reduce energy costs, while industrial customers can access utility-scale engineering and subcontracting services. Agricultural projects target operational efficiency, and residential installations aim to maximize home energy production. The company distinguishes itself through a veteran-friendly hiring program recognized with the HIRE Vets Medallion Award, a commitment to NABCEP certification across its workforce, and a service model that assigns the same technician from initial assessment through installation and future maintenance. It also assists customers with federal tax credits, USDA REAP grants, and depreciation strategies to improve project economics.
