About Sam's Furniture | Arkansas
Sam's Furniture was founded in 1991 by Sam and Becky Donaldson in a small downtown Springdale, Arkansas location. The business remains family-owned, now operated by the second and third generations of the Donaldson family. The company operates a large retail furniture showroom in Springdale, offering living room, dining room, bedroom, youth furniture, mattresses, home office, and entertainment centers. With over 50 employees, it describes itself as the largest furniture dealer in Northwest Arkansas, emphasizing a down-home, family-friendly shopping environment. The store serves residential customers across Northwest Arkansas and beyond, providing a destination-style retail experience rather than a typical transactional shop. Its product assortment includes brands such as Franklin, Elements, and Ashley. The Donaldson family frames the business around a service-oriented mission, describing it as a "Veteran loving, Christian American family owned business." The company runs a "Serve Team" that has distributed over 1,600 wheelchairs internationally through the American Wheelchair Mission, partnered with Sheep Dog Impact Assistance to support amputee veterans, and collaborated with organizations in Africa and Honduras to provide formula, build chicken houses, and construct bunkbeds. A Wall of Honor in the store displays photos of local military service members.
