About Schon Packaging
Established in 2003 in Southfield, Michigan, Schon Packaging operates as a privately owned supplier of industrial packaging materials. The company was founded by Larry Schon, who remains the owner and public face of the business, and has served the Metro Detroit region for over two decades. Schon Packaging sources and distributes a range of bags and protective packaging, including bulk bags, polypropylene bags, polyethylene bags, printed plastic bags, and paper bags. The company also stocks pallet protection items such as chipboard slip sheets, stretch wrap, and pallet covers. Through a network of suppliers and print shops, it offers custom printing up to 10 colors on most bag styles and provides just-in-time, seasonal, and subscription delivery programs to align with customer inventory needs. The supplier serves customers in the lawn and garden, rubber, and flexible packaging sectors, among other industrial markets. Testimonials on the company’s site reference long-term relationships with buyers in those industries, including a lawn and garden professional who has worked with the firm for 30 years and a rubber industry buyer who relies on the team for inventory management. Schon Packaging emphasizes relationship-based service, noting that 95 percent of its customers have remained since the start. The company positions its flexibility on minimum order quantities and its ability to leverage a broad supplier network as key differentiators, allowing buyers to avoid excess inventory while maintaining consistent supply.
