About Shaw Auto Parts Inc

Shaw Auto Parts Inc. has operated from Pocatello, Idaho since 1919, when Robert E. Shaw founded the business as an auto repair facility. The used-parts division began in 1932 and became the company's core focus. Robert L. Shaw joined in 1948, and third-generation owner Larry R. Shaw entered the business in 1972, purchasing it outright in 1992. The company remains family-operated today. The yard specializes in recycling late-model domestic and foreign vehicles, typically ten years old or newer. Its process covers selective buying, careful dismantling, thorough cleaning and inspection, and a computerized inventory system that has been in place since 1984 — one of the first in the U.S. The facility stocks over 50,000 parts and can source additional components through a nationwide network. The company ships orders nationwide and offers a searchable online catalog that covers a wide range of makes and models. Shaw Auto Parts emphasizes accurate part descriptions, prompt shipping, secure packaging, and a tiered warranty program that ranges from a standard six-month replacement plan to a lifetime parts-and-labor option. The business attributes its longevity to early adoption of inventory technology and a commitment to professional service.
