About Sheepdog
Sheepdog operates from Denver, Colorado, where founder Eric Asche established the workshop after a decade-long journey in woodworking and design. Asche began in a garage with borrowed tools, building tables, shelves, and wall-hung art before earning a degree in three-dimensional design and spending a year at Maine’s Center for Furniture Craftsmanship under master makers. The company produces custom and small-batch furniture and housewares, ranging from one-off commissions to a rotating collection of original designs. Work centers on solid-wood construction, blending modern and Scandinavian aesthetics with an eco-friendly ethos. The shop’s portfolio spans tables, shelves, wall art, and smaller household objects, all made to order or in limited runs. Asche describes the driving force as a commitment to learning something new on every project, aiming to make original work well and to turn ideas into functional, tangible objects that add value. The shop embraces the challenge of custom, one-off pieces while continuously developing new items for its collection.
