About Southern Solar Systems, Inc.
Southern Solar Systems, Inc. was founded in 2007 in Huntsville, Alabama, by Larry Bradford, Sidney Bradford, Chris Shearburn, and Patrick Adams. The four founders brought decades of solar-industry experience to a venture focused on delivering turn-key renewable-energy installations across the southeastern United States. The company operates as a licensed electrical contractor providing design, procurement, permitting, and installation services for residential and commercial solar photovoltaic arrays, geothermal heat-pump systems, solar hot-water heaters, and solar water-pumping stations. Projects are managed from site assessment through commissioning, with the firm noting a preference for two weeks' lead time while remaining flexible to client schedules. Customers range from homeowners to agricultural and institutional clients; notable installations include a solar-powered poultry farm for Tyson Foods and a project at Auburn University. The company serves the broader southeastern U.S. market from its Huntsville headquarters. Southern Solar emphasizes affordable systems built with high-quality materials and cites its ranking as a top solar contractor in Alabama by Solar Power World Magazine as evidence of its approach.
