About Summit Electronics Corp
Summit Electronics Corporation operates from Boca Raton, Florida. The company traces its roots to 1961 when it was founded under the name Thor Electronics. The founding principle — efficient, personal service regardless of scale — has guided the business for over six decades. Summit functions as a broad-line distributor of electronic components, instruments, and computers. It maintains an inventory of roughly 40,000 line items and access to more than two million parts, ranging from current-production ICs, switches, IGBTs, and MOSFETs to hard-to-find and obsolete devices. The firm offers consolidated international shipping, export-license and banking documentation, and a 24/7/365 online ordering platform backed by phone and fax support. Its reference library and parts database cover both active and discontinued components. The company serves customers across all industrial sectors that procure electronic parts in the United States. Summit's sourcing reach extends into manufacturers' pipelines worldwide to prevent production-line stoppages. Summit was built on the premise that a distributor's value lies in keeping a client's line running. Management emphasizes that its buying power, freight consolidation, and willingness to finance orders when needed translate into cost savings and supply continuity — the core reasons customers engage the firm.
