Truck & Transportation Equipment Company

About Truck & Transportation Equipment Company

Truck & Transportation Equipment Company has operated from Jefferson, Louisiana, since 1967. The business began as a final-stage truck manufacturer, taking incomplete cab-and-chassis units of any make and completing them as customized work trucks for customers across the southern United States. The company's eight-acre campus on Industrial Avenue includes seven buildings straddling the street: a main shop with twelve work bays, a quick-get-ready shop with five bays, a separate heavy-fabrication shop equipped with metal brakes, shears, and gantry cranes, a full paint shop, and multiple parts and storage buildings. The fabrication shop can produce any truck body a customer requires, while the service department runs twenty-seven full bays for repairs and warranty work. A large on-site inventory supports its role as a Louisiana distributor for major truck-equipment brands. Customers range from commercial fleets and construction firms to government agencies, municipalities, and first-responder organizations. The company supplies fire and EMS apparatus, police and emergency lighting from Federal Signal, and a sandbagging attachment that mounts to construction vehicles. Its parts counter serves cargo vans, light-, medium-, and heavy-duty trucks, and tractor-trailers. The firm emphasizes continuity after delivery, maintaining a service-after-the-sale model backed by a sales team with a collective 150 years of industry experience. Financing options are also offered for new equipment purchases.
