About Woodworks Distilling Co
Woodworks Distilling Co. operates from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where founders Dave Wood and David Alexander launched the craft distillery after years of experience in retail, warehousing, and the brewing industry. Wood, the CEO, had long envisioned the venture, while Alexander brings expertise as a chemist, regulatory specialist, and cocktail designer. The company does not disclose a founding year or ownership structure such as family or veteran status. The distillery produces a range of spirits including 100% corn vodka distilled six times, a four-grain vodka, dry and barrel-aged gins, sourced bourbon and rye whiskeys under the Preface Series, and corn-based liqueurs such as Apple Pie Corn Liquor through its Horns Down Fine Spirits partnership. Emphasis is placed on small batches, local ingredients, and wood influence throughout aging and flavor development. Facility size, headcount, and annual volumes are not publicly specified. The company also operates an event space at its Britton Road location, hosting weddings, live music, chef dinners, and private functions managed by Front of House Manager Abbey Elliot. Woodworks positions itself on storytelling—each spirit reflects provenance, process, and passion, with wood shaping every facet. The founders state they started the distillery because they believe customers seek distinctive experiences and that they themselves are "distinctive spirits" looking for novel tastes.
