About AleSmith Brewing Company
AleSmith Brewing Company was founded in 1995 in San Diego, California, driven by a passion and respect for brewing. The brewery began on Miramar Road and has since grown into a production facility with an 85-barrel brewhouse. Today the company operates that 85-barrel system to produce a wide range of year-round, seasonal, and limited-release craft beers — flagship Speedway Stout, IPA, San Diego Pale Ale, hazy IPAs, fruited lagers, and a series of barrel-aged stouts. In addition to its own labels, AleSmith runs the Anvil Beverage division, which offers contract manufacturing for beer, hard seltzer, hard tea, and ready-to-drink cocktails, including canning services. AleSmith’s branded beers reach consumers through a wholesale distribution network, while the Anvil Beverage division works with other beverage companies that need production and packaging capacity. The brewery also operates a tasting room and private event space on site, but its B2B focus centers on contract brewing and co-packing for external brands. The company highlights its collaborative approach, pointing to partnerships with breweries such as Omnipollo, and a community program called Anvil of Hope as reflections of its founding ethos.
