About Boxcar Woody (Reclaimed Lumber)
Boxcar Woody operates from Stockyards City in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The business traces its roots to 2015, when a road trip to harvest materials from retired American boxcars sparked the creation of Boxcar Revival, which later evolved into Boxcar Woody. The company reclaims authentic freight materials—boxcar flooring, cargo planks, and whiskey barrel staves—and processes them in its Oklahoma workshop. Operations include selecting, milling, and finishing reclaimed lumber to produce raw materials such as countertop slabs, mantels, and flooring, as well as finished goods like dining tables, chairs, barstools, lighting fixtures, and barn doors. Each piece is handcrafted, and custom sizing is available for made-to-order projects. Projects range from whole-house remodels featuring countertops, sliding doors, and vanities to custom barn doors and hospitality installations such as bars with waterfall edges. Testimonials reference clients in Oklahoma and beyond who have used the material for furniture, countertops, and architectural elements. The company states its mission is to preserve the history of American railways by giving retired boxcar materials new life in modern spaces. It emphasizes quality, craftsmanship, and the uniqueness of each piece, noting that no two tables are alike because the wood carries the character of its original service.
