About C&K Woodworks - Live Edge Wood Furniture and Supplier
C&K Woodworks operates from a warehouse in Oak Park, Michigan, where founders Chris and Kai have spent roughly five years building a business around live-edge lumber and custom woodworking. The shop produces custom tables, bar tops, countertops, and shelving, while also selling raw live-edge slabs for DIY builds. All lumber is locally sourced, hand-selected, and kiln-dried to 6–8% moisture content to stabilize the wood for interior or exterior use. A board-planing service prepares slabs to uniform thickness before fabrication or pickup. Customers range from homeowners furnishing a dining room to commercial clients outfitting offices and hospitality spaces. The warehouse doubles as a showroom where buyers can inspect slabs in person and consult on design details before production begins. Chris and Kai emphasize a hands-on, educational approach—walking clients through wood species, finish options, and joinery choices—so that each piece reflects the buyer’s vision rather than a catalog standard.
