About Custom Built Cabinetry
Founded in 1991 in Kailua, on the island of Oahu, Custom Built Cabinetry operates as a family-run cabinet shop. The shop handles the full cycle of custom cabinetry: design, fabrication, and installation. Projects range from kitchen cabinets and bath vanities to closet systems and entertainment centers. All casework is built from domestic Maple plywood treated for termite resistance, with Blum soft-close hardware on doors and drawers; particle board is not used. The company emphasizes its 30 years of design experience and a style that blends traditional Hawaiian plantation aesthetics with modern functionality. It cites its material choices — termite-treated Maple ply and premium hardware — and a reputation for exceeding expectations as key differentiators.
