About Dream Builders Wood
Dream Builders Wood operates from Honolulu, Hawaii. After relocating to the United States in 2001, Blanco re-established the company as Dream Builders Wood on Oahu in 2016. The firm is owner-operated by Blanco, who serves as chief carpenter. The shop provides completely custom woodworking services, including kitchen and bathroom cabinetry, custom furniture, doors, frames, trim, and small decorative items. All pieces are built to order in the company's Honolulu workshop, with Blanco overseeing each project from design through finishing. The company emphasizes work for the local "Ohanas" community. Blanco's approach is shaped by his early training in the Dominican Republic and a personal philosophy of creating exclusive, lasting designs. He cites the inspiration of the racehorse Secretariat as a turning point that led to the 2016 reopening, and the company highlights its commitment to exceeding expectations with fine-finish furniture that retains value across generations.
