About Eben Blaney Fine Contemporary Furniture
Eben Blaney Fine Contemporary Furniture operates from a studio and showroom in Edgecomb, Maine. Founder Eben Blaney has been designing and building contemporary furniture for well over 20 years, establishing a practice centered on handmade, one-of-a-kind and limited-production pieces. The workshop produces custom furniture commissions and a rotating line of limited-production items including tables, seating, case pieces, beds, mirrors, and decor. Each piece is built individually or in small batches using precise joinery and imaginative engineering, then signed, dated, and numbered before delivery. The work relies on carefully selected hardwoods chosen for their beauty and character. Clients include individual collectors, design professionals, and trade buyers across the Northeast, nationally, and internationally. Pieces are sold directly through the Edgecomb showroom, via the online platform Incollect, and by commission. The company serves the residential furniture, interior design, and custom furnishings markets. Blaney's designs are described as bold, clean-lined, and deceptively complex, requiring exacting joinery to achieve animated, dynamic stances and smooth functionality. The firm emphasizes artistic and functional standards, with every piece impeccably handmade from premium hardwoods.
