The company was founded in October 2015 by Bruce and Mary Graybill after the birth of their first child prompted Bruce to start making cutting boards as holiday gifts using a table saw and belt sander. What began as a personal project quickly expanded when a friend requested eleven more boards, turning the effort into a family-owned business. The workshop produces handcrafted end-grain chopping blocks, cutting boards in various sizes, charcuterie boards, specialty shapes such as cribbage boards and guitar-shaped boards, and epoxy-resin coasters and clipboards. Each piece is made from a mix of domestic and exotic woods chosen to highlight natural color and grain, with epoxy accents using SUPERCLEAR epoxy. In its first full year of operation (2016), the shop completed just under 400 boards. Products range from small cheese boards to two-foot-long "mega" cutting boards, with designs that double as functional kitchen tools and decorative items. The Graybills emphasize that every item leaves their shop as a functional work of art, backed by a commitment to stand behind their craftsmanship. The business grew from a desire to create everyday objects that showcase the beauty of wood while maintaining a hands-on, small-scale approach.
