About Ennis Fine Furniture- Boise
Ennis Fine Furniture was founded in 1946 in Boise, Idaho, by Cecil Ennis and his brother-in-law after they returned from World War II. The pair purchased a former horse stable at 23rd Street and Fairview Avenue, remodeled it, and began selling furniture and appliances. The business remains family-owned, now led by the founder's grandchildren Rick, Jeff, and Cathy. The company operates two showrooms — one in Boise at 275 S 23rd Street and another in Spokane, Washington — offering living room, bedroom, and dining room collections that include sofas, sectionals, beds, dressers, tables, and case goods. Ennis Fine Furniture positions itself as a destination for semi-custom and luxury furnishings, providing design consultation, custom finish selection, delivery, installation, and haul-away of old furniture. The retailer serves homeowners throughout the Pacific Northwest, with customers citing purchases of dining sets, lighting, upholstery, and accessories. Testimonials highlight the firm's design assistance and personalized service, though no commercial or contract clients are mentioned in the available materials. Ennis Fine Furniture emphasizes its multi-generational legacy and community roots as its differentiator, stating that clients become "part of our family" and that each purchase represents "a piece of history, a touch of artistry, and a home that tells your story."
