About Go-Devil Manufacturing-Louisiana

Go-Devil Manufacturing-Louisiana was founded in 1977 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The company began by developing longtail engines capable of navigating shallow, vegetation-choked waters, earning a reputation among duck hunters and commercial fishermen across North America. Today the company produces a range of marine propulsion systems and watercraft, including longtail and surface-drive engines, aluminum-hull boats built for duck hunting and surface-drive applications, floating blinds, weedless propellers, and a line of accessories such as fuel tanks, push poles, and camouflage seats. It also assembles a duck picker for game processing. Operations are conducted in a 40,000-square-foot high-tech facility where over 30 full-time staff handle design, in-house fabrication of nearly all components, assembly, and a full parts inventory for aftermarket support. The primary customers are outdoor enthusiasts—duck hunters, sport anglers, and commercial fishermen—who operate in extreme shallow-water environments such as cypress swamps, mud trenches, and rock-laden rivers. Go-Devil emphasizes that its products are designed and tested in the harshest conditions the company can find, and that its in-house manufacturing and comprehensive parts stock enable customer service that it describes as second to none. The firm traces its differentiation to decades of field testing and the ability to supply replacement parts for every engine it has built.
