About HB Workplaces, A COR Company
HB Workplaces, headquartered in Boise, Idaho, began in 1980 as Henriksen Butler in downtown Salt Lake City. The firm became a Herman Miller dealer in 1983 and expanded across the western United States. On March 1, 2022, it merged with Sprague Solutions, a Boise-based Knoll dealer founded by Daniel and Tracy Sprague. In January 2026 the company joined Creative Office Resources (COR), becoming HB Workplaces, A COR Company. Today the company employs more than 170 people and operates showrooms in Boise, Las Vegas, Reno, Salt Lake City (Draper), Seattle, and St. George. Its core business spans furniture dealership — representing Herman Miller, Knoll, and DIRTT — and interior construction through its HB Build division. HB Build delivers prefabricated wall systems, glass walls, and operable wall solutions across Utah, Nevada, Idaho, and Washington, managing projects from early planning through installation. Clients range from technology and research organizations such as the Allen Institute for Artificial Intelligence in Seattle, to higher education (University of Utah Center for Business, Health, and Prosperity), financial services (Capita Financial Network, Zions Bank), and corporate offices (Equifax, Gardner Company). HB Workplaces says its differentiation lies in pairing regional expertise and long‑standing client relationships with the national resources of COR, while HB Build adds a single‑source capability for interior construction that coordinates product selection, design, and installation under one team.
