About HornBlasters, Inc.
HornBlasters, Inc. is based in Tampa, Florida, and was founded in 2002 by owner Matt Heller. The idea originated during Heller's daily commute when he grew frustrated with being overlooked by other drivers. Drawing on a lifelong fascination with locomotive air horns, he began adapting that massive sound for everyday vehicles, initially operating out of his bedroom and selling kits from the back of his pickup truck before leaving his day job to grow the business full-time. The company designs and assembles a wide range of air-horn and onboard-air products, including multi-chime train horn kits, standalone horns, spare-tire-delete mounting systems, 12- and 24-volt onboard air systems, compressors, air tanks, valves, fittings, pressure switches, and complete wiring kits. Heller has stated that the business was started to make roads safer by ensuring drivers are heard, turning a personal safety concern into a product line that now includes a two-year manufacturer's defect warranty on its branded kits.
